General Info

Icoo Loader is a powerful download manager designed for the fastest possible multithreaded downloading of big files simultaneously from the nearest IcooNet FTP servers.

It maximizes your download speed up to 1Mbit (depending upon your internet connection and chosen speed of Icoo membership) using optimal IP route.

Quick Start

  1. Join Icoo Network
  2. Install Program
  3. Enter your username and password into program
  4. Choose Network
  5. Choose File from appeared list, click on it.
  6. Click "Download" button, press button if downloading doesn't started automatically
  7. Wait until file is downloaded
  8. Enjoy!

Installation

In order to install ICOO Loader, you simply need to download and launch the installer.

Couple of simple actions and ICOO Loader will be installed onto your computer.

Preparing program to work

After installation, select "Start->ICOO Loader->Launch ICOO Loader". You will see the program's splash screen while program in initialization.

After the ending of initialization you will see programs main window as shown below:

The program is now ready to work and you can start using it.

Connection to ICOO Net network

For connection to ICOO Net network you should join ICOO Network on your chosen speed and get valid username and password.

At first start time the ICOO Loader will ask you to specify your username and password for access to ICOO Loader. Your username will be limited by chosen connection speed and/or amount of data available for download.

Using program

Main window of the ICOO Loader program is divided into some logic parts:

  1. The list of networks.
  2. The list of files in chosen network.
  3. The indicator for displaying the current operation progress.
  4. A file map indicator.
  5. A window with status information.
  6. A window with short file information.
  7. The button for displaying information about program.
  8. Indicator for displaying status of connection.
  9. The central part (its contents vary depending on a context of actions).
  10. "Start file download" button.
  11. "Stop file download" button.
  12. The button for displaying file queue.
  13. The button for displaying visual download map from FTP-servers.
  14. The button for displaying information about selected file.
  15. The button for displaying program settings window.
  16. The button for open predefined downloads folder.
  17. "ICOO Network on the Web" button.
  18. The button for displaying program help file.
  19. "Minimize to tray" button.
  20. "Close program" button.

The list of networks contains the list of the all accessible networks for connection to them and retrieving information about files, contained in these networks.

The list of files contains the list of all files accessible at present in a selected network.

Work with the list of files and files queue

For viewing the summary information on a file simply select this file in the list of files. The window represented below will appear:

This window contains optional file picture, and also the various information on a file.

By pressing the button "Download" in this window the current file will be moved to file queue.

File queue

It is caused by pressing the "File queue" button and has the following kind:

In a files queue window various operations with files are accessible, such as moving file upwards or downwards in queue (files, located above others, will be downloaded the first), stop current download, start new download, and also removal of file from the queue.

If you have ICOO URL it is possible to place a file in queue, having taken advantage of the following field:

At addition of a file in queue, using ICOO URL, the following window will be shown:

Program settings

For a call of a settings window press the button . The window represented below will be shown:

  1. The username. This field serves for storage of the information on a ICOONet network username.
  2. The password. This field serves for storage of the information on the ICOONet network password for username.
  3. Connection settings.
    • Threads. This parameter determining how many threads will be simultaneously working.
    • Retries. Defines count of retries for download a file from a server.
    • Timeout. Specifies an connection idle time, after which expiration the connection will be lost.
  4. Use HTTP-proxy.
    • Proxy address. This field serves for storage of the information about proxy-server address.
    • Proxy port. This field serves for storage of the information about proxy-server port.
    • Proxy login. This field serves for storage of the information about proxy-server username.
    • Proxy password. This field serves for storage of the information about proxy-server password.
  5. Downloads folder. A folder on harddisk for successfully downloaded files.
  6. Default settings. Set of predefined settings for timeout, retries and threads count.

File download

To start file downloading select desired file in file queue and press the button in file queue.

If you have files in file queue it is possible to start download, having pressed the button, located near to the upper left corner of program main window.

File downloading will start automatically.
